Review and remove selected document properties and supported XMP in a separate browser-local copy.
Free, browser-local beta
The PDF beta is free and runs in your browser. It does not upload files or require an account. Add up to five files per batch, no more than 10 MB each or 50 MB total. A PDF is limited to 100 pages and 10,000 objects.
Fields checked and changed
For eligible PDFs, the beta checks Info Author, CreationDate and ModDate as Personal Information, and Creator and Producer as AI & editing fields. It also checks supported XMP properties in an unfiltered catalog metadata stream. Only selected supported fields can be removed. Title, Subject, Keywords, custom Info keys and unrecognized XMP properties stay. This limited check does not promise to remove every metadata field.
Page content is not checked or redacted
Page text, images, links, attachments and other content are outside this metadata check and can still identify you. The tool does not cover or redact visible content. Review the new copy in a PDF reader before sharing.
Why a PDF may be rejected
The beta handles only a limited, unsigned and unencrypted PDF structure with a classic cross-reference table. Signed or certified PDFs, object or cross-reference streams, forms, attachments, JavaScript or actions, incremental revisions, filtered or unsupported XMP, and other unsafe structures are rejected. The original stays unchanged.
Review the copy
This beta does not render PDFs or check visual appearance. Open the exported copy in a PDF reader and review retained and unchecked information before sharing.
