What is AI metadata?

Understand software names, prompts and editing records, without an origin verdict.

Information alongside an image

Some image files contain software names, prompts, generation settings or editing history. These fields may describe a workflow, but their presence or absence does not prove how the picture was made.

What this tool changes

A supported metadata-only rewrite removes the selected supported fields while retaining the encoded image and essential records. Optional orientation or colour-profile information also stays kept unless you select its removal in Expert; removing it can change appearance. Unknown or unsafe structures are reported or blocked. A separate converted image would need explicit consent and its own preservation checks; this release does not silently convert.

What the result cannot establish

Missing tags do not mean human-made. Metadata removal cannot remove a watermark in image content or control another service’s labels. Content Credentials are a separate choice and are not validated here.
